I’d heard the most popular song off the album, Falling away from me, 100 times over on Kerrang! but I’d never listened to the full album. The album was orginally released in 1999, but I only heard it back in 2013 for the first time.
But I am obsessed with them and I particularly love their album Issues. I’ve only been listening to Korn properly for about 5 years, I was late to the game. Favourite songs on the album have to be Lemme Freak and Molly. Lil Dicky adds comedy to his writing and I think that’s why I enjoy his music. Each song is unique, different and takes on a different side to rap. He hooks up with Snopp Dogg, T-Pain and Brendon Urie just to name a few.

Professional Rapper is an amazing album and has loads of collaborations you wouldn’t expect for a rapper’s first album. In fact I saw him in London on his debut headliner tour in 2016. Yes, I listen the Jewish Rapper Lil Dicky. One day, I will be rich and cool enough to own a record player and own this album on vinyl. Where did you sleep last night always makes me emotional and I can’t get over how beautiful Kurt can sing. By playing acoustically, you get to hear how raw Kurt’s voice was, and truly how talented he was. I know it isn’t really a Nirvana owned album, and it is more just a collection of songs that MTV told them to play… But, hear me out. Favourite song on the album? Come as You Are. I fell in love with Nirvana when I first heard Nevermind and it holds a special place in my heart because it introduced me to the legend that was Kurt Cobain. Most people born before 2005, at a push, know Smells like Teen Spirit and almost everyone knows the names Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. In Utero has one of my all time favourite Nirvana songs on it, Dumb, but Nevermind won because of how iconic it was during it’s time. It was a toss up between Nevermind and In Utero. Favourite song on the album? Pretty Boys Cry.īefore anyone goes off saying that I only like the only popular Nirvana album, I don’t.
I did review it so check it out here if you want. Of course, I love all of Adore’s music but this album speaks to me in a way I can’t explain. I can listen to the album no matter what mood I’m in. Every song is catchy enough to sing along to and makes me feel so good. This album was my 2017, and still my 2018, jam. This wouldn’t be a favourite post without including my favourite artist of all time. My music taste changes constantly and I know I’m going to forget an iconic album that I’ve loved since my life began but I’m going to try and correlate something into this post. Sitting down thinking about my favourite albums is hard.
